Battlefield 3 Countdown

With only just over two weeks to go, I can easily say I'm getting excited for this game

Here's some multiplayer footage from the PC showing just what the Frostbite Engine 2.0 is capable of.

SO much happening in the gaming world!

Lately, Bethesda has released a lot of new screenshots about skyrim, a majority of them focusing on the races and what they look like in this installment of the elder scrolls. You can view them all below:

Note: these are just the presets available for when a player is allowed to create their character, and customize their appearance

Battlefield 3 - E3

Jesus. That's all I can say about battlefield 3. Releasing just before November this year, Battlefield 3 is expected to definitely be a game of the year. I'm not quite sure of the plot, but who really cares when it appears to be such a beautiful and photo-realistic game, with awesome multi player just like its predecessors.

So what's new in Battlefield 3?
Well its using the brand new Frostbite 2 engine, which allows more features then ever before in a battlefield game. Apparently, everything is destructible in the environment, and your able to interact with any part of the environment (eg rest your weapon on a barricade, lean against a wall etc)

The PC version will allow 64 player maps, while the xbox/ps3 version will only allow 18-32.
The PC version is being really amped up by DICE, which is great, since PC gaming has been seen as down lately.

Regardless of platform though, this game is bound to be absolutely amazing. Just check out the E3 gameplay below. Enjoy!

Skyrim at E3

Hey guys. In case you didnt get around to seeing anything from E3 (the worlds biggest video game convention) I'm going to compile most of the information in a few posts over the next week or so.

Obviously first up is Skyrim, as it is my most anticipated game this year :) Todd Howard (the CEO of Bethesda) was interviewed and he pretty much gave running commentary of a HEAP of gameplay. Anyway here it is:

After watching this I know i'll definitely need to re-learn to play this game. Its clearly a lot different then oblivion and morrowind alike. And knowing I'm heading off to university within 3 months of this game being released is just a pain! I don't think I'll have enough time to completely finish it. Oh well I'll just have to see what the future brings :)

Absence

Hey guy's.

Sorry that it has been a while. I've only just returned from a holiday to Europe. I travelled to France to watch the Tennis, following and seeing all of Roger Federer's match's. It was such a shame to see him lose in the final.

Anyway, more importantly. E3!

I've been watching all the trailers and reading all of the articles about it and all of the new games either announced or just showcasing. And man, 2011 is going to be one hell of a year. Besides portal 2 there haven't been many impressive releases this year, but the last 3 months of the year will certainly make up for that, especially with battlefield 3 and skyrim.

A bundle of information coming your way incase you missed it on the e3 live stream or just not sure where to look. Back to you soon

Thanks!

My Minecraft Puzzle Map

So guys, I've made a pretty long puzzle map for minecraft, and I'm not sure if I want to spend more time on it by adding a story. By doing this I'd need to re-do most of my rooms to match a certain theme or something, but it might make it more enjoyable.

I've spent atleast 30 hours making this thing, and Im currently taking a break from it cos it's doing my head in. Can't get one of my traps to work, and its making me go insane lol.

Anyway, It should be ready within the next 10 days.
Screenshots coming tomorrow :)

Advice?

Before I get into my new content, I was curious if I should get hosting or wait it out until I get more traffic.
I was thinking like, yahoo web hosting or something like that.

Meh I should research it a bit more I think haha.
Anyway, I've been building something big on minecraft, keen to release it to the mc community within the next week or so.

Stay tuned!

A new direction for my blog!

Hey guy's.
I've decided after a long night of changing my blog and thinking, that there just isn't enough info coming out to continually update you all about Skyrim and other elder scrolls games.
So I've decided now to cover all sorts of games, mainly the ones I have been playing as of late, and what I have been getting up to.

I'm sorry to those that will be dissapointed, but I promise to continue updating you ASAP on any news about Skyrim.

I hope you understand, thanks.

I guess we will never know, have to trust the government i guess.

Races - Image included

So it has been confirmed that all the same races from the earlier elder scrolls will be included in Skyrim. Will there be changes to them? We're unsure at this moment but below is an image of an orc, one of the main races in the past elder scrolls games. The attention to detail is astounding and the unique-ness is second to none.

It sure will be a hard choice deciding a race in this game!
What will you choose?

Just over 6 months to go!

Just organising some things, will have new content up within a few days

Another Screenshot

DRAGONS!
We know this game is centered around dragons. Infact, the main villain is a daedric dragon. And only >you< know how to stop him, being the last of the dragon born. So will we see dragons in game?

The answer is:
Yes we shall.
But will we be able to tame them? to use them for combat? transport?
We don't know yet, but between you and me, I think we will find out a whole lote more about this game in the next 12 hours *HINT HINT*

New info coming soon directly from bethesda.
Adios :)

Ranger

Hey folk's.
So after studying a screenshot of Skyrim, its clear that there is indeed a lot of changes since oblivion.
Firstly it appears there are seasons. It's quite evident in the image below.

As we can see it's the main character (player) in a ranger type class. I guess you could call it hunter, but then it sounds like its coming from WoW. Either way, it look's pretty damn cool.

Curious if this game will use DX11. I guess we'll find out.
More images later.

New Screenshots

There are a good 8 or more new skyrim screenshots released.
The resolution on some of them is a let down, but it appears to be quite nice looking, an improvement on fallout new vegas, better then any other bethesda game so far.

Will post them soon, need to study at the moment :D

Skyrim's Beauty!

Hey guys, I've found an image of skyrim, (a screenshot as it appears)
There is no higher definition available yet, but damn, this looks pretty amazing.

It looks to have a Depth of Field effect, something we didnt see in Oblivion without mods.
There isnt much to say about this, the image speaks for itself.

Enjoy!

Apologies

Alright for people reading this, I'm sorry that im not too great with HTML and whatnot, so my page isnt super appealing, but i think the layout will suffice for now :)

So some things confirmed for Skyrim:

New gameplay features introduced include dual-wielding (assigning a weapon or spell to each hand), and new weapons that can be smithed at a forge from heated metal. Unique finishing attacks are used for each weapon. Players can challenge (and be challenged by) any NPC to a western-style duel in the streets. The third-person perspective has been improved, and the heads-up-display is optional. Stamina can be expended quickly by choosing to "sprint", and backward movement is slower than forward movement.[1][4]
Character development has been changed as well; "class" selection is no longer used, and instead of the twenty-one skills in Oblivion (twenty-seven inMorrowind), Skyrim will feature eighteen skills (one of the removed skills is Mysticism). Faster player level increases can be achieved by increasing developed skills. Gaining a level also grants the player level-specific skill abilities and an increase in health along with an option for a greater increase in health, or an increase in magicka or stamina. Leveling is possible above level 50, although at a much decreased rate. Level-scaling will be used, but will be more comparable to Fallout 3's system than Oblivion's. Five magic schools are used: Destruction, Alteration, Conjuration, Restoration, and Illusion. Regarding the player's personal physical appearance; there will be ten playable races, the player character will still be very customizable, and beards and customizable body features will be among the new options available.[1][4]
Player/NPC interactions have been improved, with the "Radiant AI" used in Oblivion replaced with a new version called "Radiant Story". Conversations between the player and NPCs won't freeze the rest of the game world, and the NPC will continue their activities while occasionally glancing at the player. NPCs react to the player's actions in new ways, such as fighting over possession of an item dropped by the player or attempting to return it to the player. The shop of a killed NPC may be inherited by another NPC, who may then offer the items/quests of the first but may not have the same disposition toward the player. The player's actions also directly affect side quest creation, as well as altering parts of quests. Character creation also affects which quests are available, with some quests only being offered to those specializing in certain skills. Dialog options are also available with hostile NPCs

Seem's pretty good so far :)
Hope its a step up from oblivion, yet a lot like morrowind.
